BY LAURELS TO THE LAURELS – A FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

On 31st October, Laurels’ club organized a program exclusively for their Laurels.

The staff members, who attended mission 10x workshop during 22nd of September to 26th of September, earnestly organized a Faculty Development Program in the college campus on 31st October 2009.

Initially, Dr.G Karuppusamy, the Principal bestowed a presentation on ‘Teaching and Learning Strategies’.

Soon after, Dr.Rathna Devi.K presented a presentation on ‘How to make the class more interactive’.

Afterwards, Mrs. Subathra, conducted activities, where every staff participated with great willingness and interest.

The day meant for FDP was much informative for the staff members, in upgrading their knowledge in the field of teaching.

LAURELS’ CLUB Meeting

On behalf of the Laurels’ club of the staff members of SNS College of Engineering, there held a programme on 13.10.2009, to honor the Chairman of SNS Group of Institutions Dr.S.N. Subbramanian, who received an ‘Outstanding Performance Award’ from the Institution of Engineers, India and it was also been arranged to greet the newly married faculty members and the staff members who celebrated their birthdays recently.

Prof. R.Jagadeesan welcomed the gathering. A Documentary film on the Biography of Dr.S.N.Subbramanian was shown. Dr.V.S.Velusamy, Founder Trustee, SNS Group of Institutions, Dr. G. Karuppusami, Principal, S.N.S. College of Engineering, Prof. R.Natarajan, Administrative Officer and all the Head of the departments felicitated the Chairman.
Dr.S.N.Subbramanian addressed the gathering and specified how he attained success.
Later on gifts to the Faculty members were distributed by Dr.S.N.Subbramanian and Dr.S.Rajalakshmi. Prof. K.Periakaruppan proposed the vote of thanks.
The Programme arrangement was done by the Faculty club Secretary, Treasurer and Joint Secretaries along with the co-operation of the other Teaching and Non-teaching Staff members.
